Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. What are Limited Edition Prints ? A. With Limited Edition Prints, the ‘edition’ or print run is limited to a certain number of copies, plus ‘Artist’s Proofs’. Each print is then individually signed, titled and numbered, in pencil, by the artist. For example, the 7th print published in a print run limited to 100 copies would be numbered 7/100. Q. Open Edition Prints A. Unlike Limited Edition Prints, there is no limit to the number of prints produced with an Open Edition print. Q. How do I arrange a private commission and what is needed? A.Britt needs photos of the subject. More than one is best (from different angles and with different expressions if for a comical portrait). Any extra information or facts relating to the subject is helpful too. If the artwork is relating to a place or building Britt may visit the site and take photos and sketches on location. This all helps Britt reach a more accurate and personalised illustration. The client is then given several 'sketches' or 'roughs' to pick from. Once the customer has approved the illustration they would like, Britt can start on the final piece. All photos will be returned with the final illustration. The turn around is appoximately 2 - 4 weeks. However this is dependent on Britt's waiting list, the scale, size, framing of the work and its postal destination. Her current waiting list is approximatley 6 months. |
